If you want to keep fit, make friends, and escape the City for a while, or you want to explore London’s historic streetscapes and parks, then Capital Walkers is for you!.
Capital Walkers was set up by Londoners who love getting out into the countryside and interesting urban and suburban spaces, to learn more about the world, and to share that with others.
The group is aimed at people aged 35-55. Everyone is welcome; you don't need to be a member to try us out and most walks have at least one new person on them. If you decide to take part, just turn up on a walk, there's no need to book.
All walks:
- Are led by volunteers
- Start and end within easy reach of public transport
- Are open to everyone, without charge, in order to try out the group.
You can find out more, and get breaking news at our Facebook group “Capital Walkers” or see our next walks on the right hand side of this page or by clicking here. To see more of what we're about, browse around this site - our news page is a good place to start.
We’re a growing group and we want as many new people as possible – the more people join, the more we can do! Tell your friends about us and bring them to walks and events.
Capital Walkers is part of the Ramblers and is run entirely by volunteers. If you enjoy walking with us, please consider leading a walk or maybe organising a social. You don't need to be an expert and any contribution you make will have an impact and keep the group successful!
If you decide to walk with us on a regular basis then we ask you to join The Ramblers. Membership is a snip at £31 a year, with benefits that include a 20% voucher at Cotswolds.
Hope to see you soon!
